Lake Placid
- The Adirondack Scenic
Railroad: Enjoy the newest scenic train ride in the Adirondacks between Saranac Lake and Lake Placid-and hopefully onto to Tupper Lake in the VERY near future.

Santa's Workshop
- Lake Placid is home to 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympic
Games.
Olympic Facilities
include: Lake Placid Olympic Museum,
Olympic Jumping Complex (90 Meter Ski Jump), Olympic Sports Complex (Bobsled & Luge
Run), Whiteface Mountain Ski Area, Whiteface Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway. Lake Placid's main street is lined with many unique
shops, and there is a variety of international restaurants.
- Lakes, Rivers,
Streams and Ponds for Fishing, Canoeing, Boating, and other activities.
- Their are several golf courses and museums.
- Adirondack Loj - The Adirondack Mountain Club
maintains the Loj, hikers building and other facilities. Lecture series offers insight
into many aspects of the Adirondacks and other natural issues. Open All Year.
- High Falls Gorge - Self-guided scenic tours on modern
steel bridges and walks. See three waterfalls plunging 700 feet. Rock Shop, gift shop,
restaurant and picnic area. Open May 28 Closes Oct. 11.
- Ausable Chasm - A spectacular scenic wonder: 3/4 mile
walking tour past beautiful geological formations, topped by a 3/4 mile swift boat ride.

Saranac Lake
- The Annual Adirondack Antique Show & Sale in
Saranac Lake.
- Adirondack Fish Cultural Station - NY State Fish
Hatchery, open to the public. Educational and fun for everyone.
- The 100 Mile Adirondack Canoe Trail that begins in
Old Forge and continues through the Fulton Chain and if followed north ends in the Saranac
and Tupper Lake Area.
- Public Beach & Playground - Tennis & Golf
- Hiking, Canoe Routes, Cross-country skiing, and
Horseback riding trails, all surrounded in scenic beauty.
- Site of the Ice Palace for The Saranac Lake Winter
Festival.
